| Acute Triangle | a triangle with all three angles measuring less than 90° |
| Obtuse Triangle | a triangle containing one obtuse angle |
| Right Triangle | a triangle containing a right angle |
| parallelogram | a quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel sides |
| Rhombus | a parallelogram with all sides congruent |
| Rectangle | a parallelogram with 4 right angles |
| Square | a rectangle with 4 congruent sides |
| Trapezoid | a quadrilateral with exactly one pair of parallel sides |
| Kite | a quadrilateral with two pairs of adjacent congruent sides |
| Polygon | a closed plane figure formed by three or more line segments |
| Side | A line bounding a geometric figure |
| Vertex of a Polygon | The point where two sides of a polygon intersect |
| Regular Polygon | A polygon with congruent sides and angles |
| Triangle | Polygon with 3 sides, 3 angles |
