Insulate 179 to wrap in insulation (to protect something from either getting too hot or cold) We purchase insulation for our homes in order to use less heat in the winter and less air conditioning in the summer.
Conserve 180 To save & protect. We wish to conserve energy by avoiding turning on unnecessary lights in our house.
Composting 180 To throw any food waste into a pile and have it decompose Instead of putting your food waste in the trash, you may buy a composter and transform it into fertilizer.
Incentives 180 benefits A decreased electric bill would be an incentive for you to purchase solar panels for your roof.
Pollution 180 To make the Earth dirty. We don't want to pollute and contaminate the water, which would render it unfit to drink.
Toxic 202 Poison Toxic is anything that is lethal.
Capitalist 205 An economy that is based on privately held businesses Whoever sells the most items wins in capitalist societies. As a result, capitalism fosters rivalry.
Revitalization 201 To renew it and refresh it. To revitalize a neighborhood, you would improve it in order to make it look sparkling and new.
Degradation 203 To make worse, run down. A community may suffer degradation if residents are unable to update their homes on a yearly basis.
Stakeholders 204 Is anyone who has an investment in a company or organization The existence of a steering group comprised of all relevant stakeholders was a critical component of the partnership model.
