culpability (n) guilt or blame that is deserved
burden (n) something that is carried with difficulty or obligation

empathetic (adj) characterized by empathy, the ability to identify with the feelings or thoughts of others
pitched (v) moved up and down
reeling (adj/v) going around and around in a whirling motion; in a confused or dizzy state
