| onomatopoeia | words that sound like the sound they describe "boom" "pop" "bang" "pow" "ring" |
| rhyme scheme | The pattern that a poem's lines rhyme, letters are used to show the same sounds. Roses are red(A) Violets are blue(B) Sugar is sweet(C) and so are you(B) |
