digital footprint

digital footprint A digital footprint is a trail of data you create while using the Internet. It includes the websites you visit, emails you send, and information you submit to online services. A passive digital footprint is a data trail you unintentionally leave online.
cookies Tracks items that users previously viewed
Geolocation the identification of the geographic location of a user or computing device via a variety of data collection mechanisms
metadata a set of data that describes and gives information about other data.
data facts and statistics collected together for reference or analysis.
spreadsheet an electronic document in which data is arranged in the rows and columns of a grid and can be manipulated and used in calculations.
browser history Web browsing history refers to the list of web pages a user has visited, as well as associated data such as page title and time of visit.
digital literacy Digital literacy refers to an individual's ability to find, evaluate, and clearly communicate information through typing and other media on various digital platforms.
blog a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style.
dossier a collection of documents about a particular person, event, or subject.
derogatory showing a critical or disrespectful attitude.
social networking the use of dedicated websites and applications to interact with other users, or to find people with similar interests to oneself.
viral relating to or involving an image, video, piece of information, etc., that is circulated rapidly and widely from one internet user to another.
profile an outline of something, especially a person's face, as seen from one side.
privacy settings rivacy settings are "the part of a social networking website, internet browser, piece of software, etc. that allows you to control who sees information about you".
