If a word ends in a vowel, n, or s, enunciate (stress, emphasize) the next to the last syllable. Rule #1
If a word ends in a consonant other than n or s, enunciate the last syllable. Rule #2
If a word has an accent mark, enunciate the syllable with the accent mark. Rule #3
