TermDefinition
Child predator A person who has been convicted of a criminal offense against a victim who is a minor.
Ghosting The activity of writing books, articles, etc. for another person to publish under their own name.
Cancel culture A way of behaving in a society or group, especially on social media, in which it is common to completely reject and stop supporting someone because they have said or done something that offends you.
Doxing The action of finding or publishing private information about someone on the internet without their permission, especially in a way that reveals their name, address, etc.
Anonymous Made or done by someone whose name is not known or not made public.
Grooming The things that you do to make your appearance clean and neat, for example brushing your hair, or the things that you do to keep an animal's hair or fur clean and neat.
Forwarding The process of arranging for goods to be transported, especially to another country.
Leaking (of a liquid or gas) To escape from a hole or crack in a pipe or container; (of a container) to allow liquid or gas to escape.
Unfriending Remove (someone) from a list of friends or contacts on a social networking website.
Stalking The crime of illegally following and watching someone over a period of time.
IP Grabber The act of extracting IP address using third-party tools.
Sexting The activity of sending text messages that are about sex or intended to sexually excite someone.
Spamming The activity of sending advertisements by email to people who do not want to receive them.
Catfishing Someone who pretends on social media to be someone different, in order to trick or attract other people.
Bots A computer program that works automatically, especially one that searches for and finds information on the internet.
