quadrants The four regions on the coordinate plane.
coordinate plane A plane divided into 4 sections by the x and y axes.
origin The point where the x and y axis intersect. (0,0)
coordinate point A specific location on the coordinate plane (x,y)
constant of proportionality the constant unit rate in a proportional relationship
constant rate a rate that stays the same
proportional a relationship that keeps the same rate
equivalent having the same value
unit rate a rate with the value of 1 in the denominator
rate a ratio that has 2 different units
ratio a comparison of 2 values using division
