compare When we compare objects, we examine them to determine how they are alike and how they are different.
congruent figures Figures that have corresponding angles of the same measure and corresponding sides of the same length.
coordinate graphing Making a graph using pairs of numbers (x,y) called the x and y coordinates to locate positions on a coordinate plane.
corresponding Corresponding sides or angles have the same relative position in similar figures.
image The figure that results form some transformation of a figure.
ratio A ratio is a comparison of two quantities that tells the scale between them.
scale factor The number used to multiply the coordinates of a figure to stretch or shrink it.
similar figures Figures with the same shape.
