population density The population density is the average number of things (people,animals, and so on) per unit of area.
proportion An equation stating that two ratios are equal.
rate A comparison of the quantities of two different units or objects is called a rate.
ratio A ratio is a comparison of two quantities that tells the scale between them.
scale The scale is the number a ratio is multiplied by to find an equivalent ratio.
scaling The scale is the number a ratio is multiplied by to find an equivalent ratio.
unit rate A unit rate compares and amount to a single unit.
