graduated cylinder used to measure volumes (mL) of liquids
test tubes used for small chemical reactions
test tube holder used to hold test tubes that are too hot to handle
test tube racks used to hold and organize test tubes
well plates used when we want to perform many small reactions at one time
forceps used to pickup small objects
pipet or dropper used to transfer a small volume of liquid (less than 1 mL)
funnel used to aid in the transfer of a liquid
reagant bottle and lid stores chemicals and solutions for lab. It can be plastic, glass, or dark in color.
safety goggles used for protection of the eyes in a lab
bunsen burner uses gas and it used for heating
evaporating dish used for the heating of stable solid compounds and elements
mortal and pestle used to crush solids into powder or smaller pieces
crucible and lid used for heating solids, particularly metals, to very high temperatures
crucible tongs used to handle hot crucibles and other hot objects, NOT for beakers
clay triangle used as a support for porcelain crucibles when being heated over a bunsen burner
thermometer measures temperature in degrees celsius
scoopula hybrid scoop/spatula used to pickup small objects and scoop out chemicals
ringstand/ utility clamps used to perform reactions that require heating
wire guaze sits on the iron ring to provide a place to stand the beaker
