5 Geometry

Perimeter/Area/Volume TEK 5.4G/H & 5.6A/B

TermDefinition
Length A measure of how long an object is.
Width The measure of how wide an object is. Usually this is the shorter side while the length is the longer side.
Height The distance from the bottom to the top of something standing upright.
Volume The amount of space inside a solid figure. Solved by V=L x W x H
Area the amount of space taken up by a 2D shape or surface. Solved by A=L x W
Perimeter The distance around the outside of a shape. Solved by P=L+L+W+W or P=2L+2W
