Coordinate Plane TEK 5.8A, 5.8B, 5.8C
| Term | Definition |

| Axis | The "x" and "y" lines that cross at right angles to make a graph. |
| Coordinate | A set of values that show an exact position. |
| Coordinate Plane | A two-dimensional plane formed by the intersection of a vertical line called y-axis and a horizontal line called x-axis. |
| Ordered Pair | Refers to a set of two numbers used to locate a point in a coordinate plane. Ex: (x, y) |
| Origin | Where the X axis and Y axis cross on a coordinate plane. Also known as point (0,0) |
| Point | An exact location on a coordinate plane. |
| X-Axis | The line on a graph that runs horizontally (left-right) through zero. |
| Y-Axis | The line on a graph that runs vertically (up-down) through zero. |
| Input Output Table | A table that shows the relationship between sets of numbers that always follow the same rule. |
