Butler a man who opens the door, serves dinner, etc in a large house as a job
Housekeeper someone who is paid to clean and cook in someone else's house
Dustpan a flat container with a handle, used with a brush for removing dirt from a floor
Assign to give someone a particular job or responsibility
Dismiss to send somebody away or allow them to leave
Cauldron a large deep pot for boiling liquids or cooking food over a fire
Gristly full of gristle (= a solid white substance in meat that is difficult to eat)
Scone a small round cake, sometimes with dried fruit in it and often eaten with butter, jam and cream spread on it
Approve to say that something is good enough to be used or is correct
Blame to think or say that somebody/something is responsible for something bad
Frantic done quickly and with a lot of activity, but in a way that is not very well organized
