| Term | Definition |

| Spit | The watery liquid produced in your mouth. As an action is to force an amount of liquid out of your mouth, often to show hatred or contempt. |
| Forehead | The part of the face above the eyebrows; brow. |
| Creep | As a verb it means to move slowly and stealthily usually near the ground like a reptile. But it can also means someone unpleasently strange and weird. |
| Rave | To be excited about something and think good about it or to talk too excited and noisy about something, like a movie. |
| Wince | A facial or bodily expression of pain, disgust, or regret. Usually its the facial expression of sudden pain. |
| String | A strand of fiber that's thinner than a cord. As a verb means to attach together, so it stretches |
| Rafter | A long board that supports the peak of a roof. If your bedroom is in the attic of your house, you can lie in bed staring up at them. |
| Boundary | The line which is indicating the limit of something like a soccer field |
| Blackmail | To use secret information to get something from them, usually money, by threaten. It's a crime. |
| Pay Off | To pay a debt in full. |
| Threshold | It takes you from one place into another, and when you're about to start something new you are also in one. Is the begining or starting point of something |
| Seal | It can be a mammal animal or to secure something by stamp it, like a card with hot wax. |
| Shift | Is a change in something or an adjustment in the way something is done. Usually to move the position of something. |
| Bow | A curved piece of wood (or other material), with a cord stretched between the ends that is used to launch the arrows. |
| Barn | A farm building for storing grain or animal feed and housing farm animals |
| Sceptic | Someone who habitually doubts accepted beliefs |
| Turn In | To surrender someone or something to another as an act of weakness. It can also means to prepare for sleep |
| Blast | A sudden very loud noise lika an explosion. It can also means a very intense criticism. |
| Growl | to make a low, guttural, aggressive sound, like “grrrrrrrrrrr.” If you’ve ever gotten too close to an angry dog, you’ve probably heard it. Usually means Back Off. |
| Gaze | To look steadily at somebody/something for a long time, either because you are very interested or surprised, or because you are thinking of something else |
