What are 2 different types of cells The animal cell and plant cell
What are the features of an animal cell The cell membrane, the nucleus and the cytoplasm, mitochondria and ribosomes
What doe the nucleus look like A large dot within the cell
What does the cell membrane look like It is the line surrounding the nucleus
What does the cytoplasm look like The cytoplasm is the empty space within the cell
What are the features of a plant cell Nucleus, cell membrane, cell wall, cytoplasm, vacuole, chloroplasts, mitochondria and ribosomes
What does the vacuole look like An empty space within the cell with a barrier drawn with a line around it
What are the chloroplasts Dots inside the cell that are smaller than the nucleus and sometimes draw green
What is the cell wall It is a line around the cell membrane and the space between the cell membrane and the outer line
What does the nucleus do It controls the cells activities and contains genetic material
What does the cell membrane do It controls entry and exit to the cell
What is cytoplasm It is a jelly like substance where many chemical reactions take place and contains enzymes
What does the cell wall do It gives the plant cell strength and structure and support, made of cellulose
What does the vacuole do It stores cell sap and supports the cell
What is cell sap It is a fluid containing food and waste materials
What do chloroplasts do They carry out photosynthesis to make glucose
What does cytoplasm do It holds the cells shape and is mostly water
What does mitochondria do Where aerobic respiration occurs to transfer energy for the cell to work
What do ribosomes do Small organelles where proteins are made
What is a tissue A group of similar cells that work together to carry out a function
