| Standard of proof | The level of proof civil = Lower standard Criminal = higer stranded |
| Torts | The 4 areas that civil court covers (Negligence, Nuisance, Deformation, Trespass) + Contract law |
| Negligence | Failing to take adequate care |
| Nuisance | this is if someone causes obstruction or inconvenience to someone else or damages property |
| Deformation | This is when someone publicly defames someone else (This has to be true) |
| Trespass | This is when someone enters on someones land and intends to stay |
