4CV Decimal Vocab

Math Vocab Practice for Mrs. Stauffer's 4th graders

TermDefinition
decimal Fractions written with a point between the ones place and tenths place
tenths The place in which a digit has a value equal to 1/10 of itself; the first digit to the right of the decimal point.
hundredths The place in which a digit has a value equal to 1/100 of itself; the second digit to the right of the decimal point.
whole an entire object
decimal point It separates the whole number part from the fractional part of a decimal number.
place value The value that is given to a digit according to its position in a number.
decimal fraction number with a denominator of 10 or a power of 10.
