Geometry Terms
| Term | Definition |

| Points | An exact location in space |
| Line | A set of points that extend forever in opposite directions. |
| Line Segments | A part of a line that has two endpoints |
| Ray | A part of a line that starts at an endpoint and goes on forever in one direction |
| Angle | Formed by two rays with the same endpoint |
| Vertex | The shared endpoint of an angle |
| Right Angle | An angle that measures 90 degrees |
| Acute Angle | An angle that measures less than 90 degrees |
| Obtuse Angle | An angle between 90 and 180 degrees |
| Straight Angle | An angle that measures exactly 180 degrees |
| Intersecting Lines | Lines that meet or cross at a common point |
| Perpendicular Lines | Intersecting lines that form four right angles |
| Parallel Lines | Lines in the same plane that never intersect |
| Polygon | A closed, flat-figure with straight sides |
| Quadrilateral | A polygon with four sides, four angles, and 4 vertices |
| Parallelogram | A quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel lines. |
| Rectangle | A parallelogram with four right angles |
| Rhombus | A parallelogram with four sides of equal length |
| Square | A parallelogram with four right angles and four sides of equal length |
| Trapezoid | A quadrilateral with one pair of parallel sides |
| Kite | Quadrilateral with two pairs of equal-length adjacent sides. |
| Right Triangle | This triangle has one right angle |
| Obtuse Triangle | This triangle has one obtuse angle |
| Acute Triangle | Triangle where all angles are acute |
| Isosceles Triangle | Triangle where two sides are equal in length |
| Equilateral Triangle | Triangle where all three sides are equal in length |
| Scalene | Triangle where all sides are different in length |
| Triangle | Polygon with 3 sides, 3 angles, and 3 vertices |
| Hexagon | Polygon with 6 sides, 6 angles, and 6 vertices |
| Octagon | Polygon with 8 sides, 8 angles, and 8 vertices |
| Pentagon | Polygon with 5 sides, 5 angles, and 5 vertices |
