Term | Definition |

Word Processing | A word processor is a device or computer program that provides for input, editing, formatting, and output of text, often with some additional features. |
default font & font size | When you open the program Microsoft Word, a font and font size are chosen for you. |
Single Spacing | single-spaced - (of type or print) not having a blank space between lines |
Double Spacing | What is a Double Space? 1. In text formatting, a double space means sentences contain a full blank line (the equivalent of the full height of a line of text) between the rows of words. |
Make a Copy | make copy of original thing; do something like someone else |
Download | copy (data) from one computer system to another, typically over the Internet. |
Version History | Specifically, version history gives you access to old copies of your files and shows you the number of each version, the size of each version, as well as who created each version and when. |
Move | go in a specified direction or manner; change position. |
Underline | draw a line under (a word or phrase) to give emphasis or indicate special type. |
Italicize | set (text) in italics. |
Cut | make an opening, incision, or wound in (something) with sa sharp-edged tool or object. |
Copy | a thing made to be similar or identical to another. |
Paste | place the things you copy or cut down |
Paste Without Formatting | You can paste without formatting in nearly any application to get just the text without the extra formatting. Use this keyboard shortcut. |
Share | a part or portion of a larger amount which is divided among a number of people, or to which a number of people contribute. |
New | not existing before; made, introduced, or discovered recently or now for the first time. |
Open | allowing access, passage, or a view through an empty space; not closed or blocked up. |
Increase Font | Highlight the text that you want to make bigger or smaller. To increase the font size, press Ctrl +]. (Hold the Ctrl key, and press Right Bracket.) |
