The weather forecast

Do you know who writes the weather forecast? A meteorologist.
What do meteorologist do? Meteorologists study the weather. They receive information from weather stations about changes in temperature, air pressure, wind and rain.
What else do meteorologist do? They also study images of the Earth from satellites and they use this information to understand how our climate works, and to write weather forecasts.
What are weather forecasts? Weather forecasts tell us what the weather is going to be like.
Where can you read a weather forecast? Many people read it on the newspapers or online. You can also listen to weather forecasts on the radio or on TV.
Who needs to know about heatwaves? Farmers need to know about rain, heatwaves and hailstorms to protect their animals and crops. Foresters and firefighters need to know about them to prevent and put out forest fires.
What do we need to know about thunder storms? A thunder storm is dangerous. It is a brief storm with thunder and lightning.
What are hailstorms? They are small balls of ice falling from the sky.
What do we need to know about tornados? A tornado is a column of spinning air. The top touches storm clouds and the bottom touches the found.
What type of weather is in the Summer? Summer season tend to be the hottest station in the year. Temperatures are higher and rainy days are rare.
