tone A writer’s or speaker’s attitude toward a subject

logos When writers use logic that is backed up with evidence such as statistics and proven examples
pathos When writers use language and examples that are meant to appeal to audience’s emotions and feelings

persuade To cause somebody to adopt a certain position of belief
connotation Idea that is implied or suggested
