THE UNIVERSE

Identify each word with its definition.

TermDefinition
STARS Are spheres of very hot gas that glow with their own light and can be of various sizes and colors. One of the stars is the Sun.
PLANET Is a celestial body that revolves around a star. It has a shape similar to a sphere and doesn't emit its own light.
SATELLITE Is defined as an opaque celestial body revolving around a planet. They can be artificial or natural.
METEOR Is a fragment of rock or iron from outer space,
THE MILKY WAY Is a spiral-shaped galaxy that contains approximately 200 billion stars in the Universe and where the Solar System is located.
COMET Is a celestial body made up of ice, rocks, and dust that revolve around the Sun in elliptical, parabolic, or hyperbolic orbits.
GALAXY Is a collection of gases, dust, and billions of stars and their solar systems.
BLACK HOLE Are the cold remnants of ancient stars
CONSTELLATION Are groups of stars that, joining them with imaginary lines, form perfectly identifiable figures in the night sky.
