How to handle food safe? Avoid personal behaviors that may contaminate food.
How to be a safe food handler? washing hands and caring for hands. limiting spaces where staff eat, drink, chew gum,etc.
When does foodhandlers can contaminate food? when they have a foodborne illness, when they have wounds that may contain pathogens, when sneezing and coughing, make contact with a personal who is ill.
what are some actions that may contaminate food? scratching the scalp, running fingers through hair, wiping or touching the nose, rubbing an ear, touching a pimple or a wound, wearing dirty clothes,coughing or sneezing in the hand.
How to manage a good personal hygiene ? creating personal hygiene policies. training foodhandlers on a good personal hygiene
What are the steps to whash hands properly? step 1- Wet hands and arms step 2- Apply soap step 3-Scrub hands and arms vigorously for at least 15 to 20 seconds. step 4 -Clean under fingernails and between fingers. step 5- Rinse hands and arms throroughly. step 6- Dry hands and arms
When do foodhandlers should whash their hands? After using the restroom. Before and after handling raw meat such as poultry and seafood. After touching the hair, face or other parts of the body. After sneezing and coughing. Before and after eating and drinking. After handling chemicals
Food handlers must wash hands after? Taking out garbage. Touching clothing or aprons. Handling money . Leaving and returning to the kitchen food preparation area.
What are some requirements food handlers shoud follow? Do not wear false nails. Do not wear nail polish. Keep fingernails short and clean.
How to use gloves ? wash and dry hands before putting gloves on. select the correct glove size. hold gloves by the edges when puttin g them on. Once gloves are on, check for rips or tears. Must never blow into gloves. Must never roll gloves to make them easie
When to change gloves? As soon as they become dirty or torn. before begining a different task. After handling raw food and before handling ready to eat food.
What food handlers must do ? Must wear clean hat or other hair restraint. Wear clean clothing daily. Remove any jewerly form hands and arms before handling food.
Food handlers must not do when prepping food, and serving food? Eat, drink, smoke, or chew gum.
If a food handler has a fever what must be done ? Restrict the food handler form making any contact with food, and they must have a written release from a medical practitioner.
What must be done when a food handlers have jaundice ? The foodhandlers mustt be reported to the regulatory authority ,and must have a written release form a medical practitioner and a approval form the regulatory authority before returning to work.
what must be done if a foodhanler have vomiting and diarrhea symptoms ? The foodhanler must be excluded from work, and he or she has not have these symtoms for at least 24 hours before returning to work.
