the Periodic table

TermDefinition
Atomic Number The number of protons in an atom
Electrons The negative sub atomic particles that orbit the nucleus
Protons The positive sub atomic particles that are located in the nucleus.
Neutrons The neutral sub atomic particles that are located in the nucleus.
Metals Located to the left of the periodic table and have similar properties including conducting electricity & heat.
Non Metals Located to the right of the periodic table and have similar properties including non conducting electricity and heat and they are softer.
The Noble Gases Are found in Group 8 in the periodic table and they have a full outer shell of electrons/
Atomic Mass The mass of the number of neutrons and protons in a nucleus of an atom
Group Groups are the vertical columns in the periodic table
Period Periods are the horizontal rows in the periodic table vertical columns in the periodic table
Electron Energy Level Electron shells, 2, 8, 8,
