Rogers Geometry vocabulary words

Parallel Lines Lines that NEVER cross
Perpendicular Lines Lines that cross at a 90 degree angle
Intersecting Lines Lines that meet or cross
right angle An angle that is EXACTLY 90 degrees
acute angle An angle that is SMALLER than 90 degrees
obtuse angle An angle that is GREATER than 90 degrees
angle Made of 2 rays that meet at an endpoint
vertex An endpoint
point an exact location
ray a part of a line that has an endpoint and goes on forever in the other direction
line segment a part of a line with two endpoints
line a set of points that form a straight path that goes in opposite directions without ending
Symmetry a line that divides a figure into two halves that are mirror images of each other.
