argument a disagreement involving two sides
counterclaim the opposing view in an argument

incident something that happens; usually has a negative connotation
reasoning thought process; way of thinking
text structure how written information is organized: cause/effect, sequence or order, descriptive, compare/contrast, and problem/solution
style the way a writer writes: narrative, expository (informational), argumentative/persuasive, and descriptive
summarize to focus on the main points or key details; usually has 3 parts: 1. beginning, 2. middle, and 3. end
support to provide evidence to back up or prove a claim or statement
suspense excitement or anxiousness over what might happen
