4.5.1 Angle Vocab

| Point- | an exact location in space |
| Line- | a straight path of points that goes on and on in two directions |
| Line Segment- | a part of a line that has two endpoints |
| Ray- | a part of a line that has one endpoint and continues endlessly in one direction |
| Angle- | a figure formed by two rays that have the same endpoint |
| Acute Angle- | an angle that measures less than 90 degrees |
| Right Angle- | an angle that measures exactly 90 degrees and forms a square corner |
| Obtuse Angle- | an angle that measures greater than 90 degrees |
| Perpendicular Lines- | two intersecting lines that form right angles |
| Parallel Lines- | in a plane, lines that never intersect |
| Vertex- | the point where two or more edges, line segments or rays meet |
| Degree- | a unit of measure for angles |
| Protractor- | a tool used to measure and draw angles |
| Adjacent Angles- | angles that have a common side and vertex |
| Complementary Angles- | two angles whose degree measures have a sum of 90 degrees |
| Supplementary Angles- | two angles whose degree measures have a sum of 180 degrees |
