| Term | Definition |

| Mouth | Is where the digestive process start |
| Salivary glands | The saliva mixes the food |
| Pharynx | Directs air or food to its proper place |
| Esophagus | Is a long tube that pushes the food into the stomach |
| Liver and pancreas | They send juices to the small intestine |
| Stomach | It is like a mixer. It uses gastric juices to turn the food into a thick liquid. |
| Gallbladder | Concentrates and stores bile, a fluid made by the liver |
| Small intestine | Separates the nutrients from the waste |
| Large Intestine | Eliminates the waste |
| Anus | The waste, called faeces, leaves the body here |
