1st person point of view story told from the perspective of one character's eyes, using "I"
2nd person point of view narrative that directly addresses "you" to tell events
3rd person point of view written from a perspective that is not a part of the story; used in stories and preferred in academic writing
3rd person limited narrative reveals the thoughts and feelings of ONE character in the story, but told from outside perspective, using "they," "he," "she," them," etc.
3rd person omniscient narrator, outside of story, reveals the thoughts and feelings of ALL characters, using names, "he," "she," "they," etc.
