| Deference | To do something out of respect. |
| Spawned | To start to exist or make something happen. |
| Protesters | People who speak out against something. |
| Falter | Start to loose strength or momentum. |
| Petitioned | To ask for support of something or someone such as signing a petition. |
| Inquiry | Ask questions about things that are happening. |
| Jaundice | Liver failure causing yellowing of the skin and eyes. |
| Endorses | To show support for a product. |
