| Term | Definition |

| Boarding pass | A card that a passenger must have in order to be allowed to get on an aircraft or a ship |
| Destination | The place where someone is going |
| Check-in | The area at an airport where you show your ticket so that you can be told where you will be sitting |
| Documents | A passport and airline tickets are examples of it |
| Customs | The place at a port, airport, or border where travelers’ bags are examined for illegal or taxable goods |
| Luggage | The bags, suitcases, etc. that contain your possessions and that you take with you when you are travelling |
| Departure | The area in which you wait before you take a plane. |
| Security | The area in which your bags and suitcases are checked before you take a plane. |
| Accomodation | A place to live or stay |
| Facilities | Equipment, rooms, areas, etc. that are provided for people to use |
| Reservation | An arrangement in which something is kept for you (such as a seat on an aircraft or a table at a restaurant) |
| Resort | A place where many people go for rest, sport, or another stated purpose. It offers more activities and services than an ordinary hotel. |
