Unit 3: Equations, inequations and systems.
|Biquadratic equation||Biquadratic equations are fourth-degree equations with no odd-degree terms. ax4 + bx2 + c = 0|
|Rational equation||An equation contains at least one algebraic fraction.|
|Equations with radicals||Equations where x is under a square root.|
|Exponential equations||Exponential equations are equations where the unknown is in the exponent.|
|Logarithmic equations||Logarithmic equations are equations where the unknown is in an expression affected by a logarithm. We solve them by looking at the properties of the logarithms.|
|System of linear equations||Two equations form a system of equations when our aim is to find a common solution. If both equations are linear, it is called a linear system. ax + by = c a'x + b'y = c'|
