Transnational Companies

TermDefinition
Transnational Companies Transnational companies (TNCs) are companies that have operations in several countries in addition to their home country.
Foreign Direct Investment When a company in one country chooses to set up an operation in another country.
Bartering Where two parties (people/organisations) swap goods or services
Trade The exchanging of goods and services between two parties for payment.
Domestic Trade The exchange of goods or services within a country
International Trade The exchange of goods or services between different countries.
Importing When goods or services are brought from one country into another.
Exporting When goods or services are sent from one country to another.
Visible Trade The import and export of physical (visible) goods.
Invisible Trade The import and export of services.
