types of triangles and triangle congruent

TermDefinition
equilateral triangle with 3 equal sides and 3 equal angles, always 60°
isosceles triangle with 2 equal sides and 2 equal angles
scalene triangle with no equal side and no equal angles
right triangle triangle whith 1 angle that measures 90° and 2 acute angles
SSS "side, side, side" means that we have two triangles with all three sides equal.
ASA "angle, side, angle" means that we have two triangles where we know two angles and the included side are equal.
SAS "side, angle, side" means that we have two triangles where we know two sides and the included angle are equal.
AAS "angle, angle, side" means that we have two triangles where we know two angles and the non-included side are equal.
