Solve Division Problems with Remainders Using Area Models

Solve 37 ÷ 2 using an area model. Use long division and the distributive property to record your work. 37 ÷ 2 = 18 r 1 (20 ÷ 2) + (16 ÷ 2) 10 + 8 18 (with 1 remaining)
Solve 58 ÷ 4 using an area model. Use long division and the distributive property to record your work. 58 ÷ 4 = 14 r 2 (40 ÷ 4) + (16 ÷ 4) 10 + 4 14 (with 2 remaining)
Solve 66 ÷ 5 using an area model. Use long division and the distributive property to record your work. 66 ÷ 5 = 13 r 1 (50 ÷ 5) + (15 ÷ 5) 10 + 3 13 (with 1 remaining)
Solve 79 ÷ 3 using an area model. Use long division and the distributive property to record your work. 79 ÷ 3 = 26 r 1 (60 ÷ 3) + (18 ÷ 3) 20 + 6 26 (with 1 remaining)
