Ductility | Ability to be pulled into a long wire |
Melting point | Temperature at which a substance goes from solid to liquid |
Metal | An element that is typically hard, shiny, malleable, and ductile (with good electrical and thermal conductivity). |
Metalloid | An element that has some of the characteristics of metals and some of the characteristics of nonmetals. |
Nonmetal | An element that is typically soft and dull and not a good conductor of heat and electricity. |
