Linear Systems

TermDefinition
System of equations two or more equations that share variables.
Substitution solving one of the equations for one of the variables and then plugging this back into the other equation, "substituting" for the chosen variable and solving for the other.
Constraints restrictions (limitations, boundaries) that need to be placed upon variables used in equations that model real-world situations.
Elimination scaling one of the equations in such a way that when it is added or subtracted to the other equation, one variable will cancel out.
