Congruent Angles | Angles of a figure that are equal in measure. |
Congruent Figures | Two figures that have the same size and shape. |
Congruent Sides | Sides of a figure that are equal in length. |
Cube | A three-dimensional figure with six faces that are congruent squares. |
Cubic Unit | The unit of measure for volume. |
Edge | The line segment where to faces of a three-dimensional figure meets. |
Equilateral Triangle | A triangle with three congruent sides. |
Face | A flat surface. |
Hexagon | A polygon with six sides and six angles. |
Isosceles Triangle | A triangle with at least two congruent sides. |
Net | A two-dimensional pattern of a three-dimensional figure. |
Obtuse Triangle | A triangle with 1 obtuse angle and 2 acute angles. |
Octagon | A polygon with 8 sides. |
Parallelogram | A quadrilateral in which each pair of opposite sides is a parallel and congruent. |
Pentagon | A polygon with 6 sides. |
Polygon | A closed figure made up of line segments that do not cross each other. |
Prism | A three-dimensional figure with two parallel, congruent faces, called bases. At least three faces are rectangles. |
Rectangle | A quadrilateral with four right angles; opposite sides are equal and parallel. |
Rectangular Prism | A prism that has rectangular bases. |
Regular Polygon | A polygon in which all sides and angles are congruent. |
Rhombus | A parallelogram with four congruent sides. |
Right Triangle | A triangle with 1 right angle and 2 acute angles. |
Scalene Triangle | A triangle with no congruent sides. |
Square | A parallelogram with four congruent sides and four right angles. |
Three-Dimensional Figure | A figure that has length, width, and height. |
Trapezoid | A quadrilateral with exactly one pair of opposite sides parallel. |
Triangular Prism | A prism that has triangular bases. |
Unit Cube | A cube with a side length of one unit. |
Vertex | The point where three or more faces meet on a three-dimensional figure. |
Volume | The amount of space inside a three-dimensional figure. |
