| Myelography | An x-ray visiual of the spinal cord after the injection of a radioactive contrast medium or air into the spinal subarac |
| Computed Tomography (CT) | A radiographic exam that produces a 3-dimensional, cross-sectional view of the brain |
| RAST | An Allergy test measures levels of antibodies after the blood serum is exposed to suspected allergens |
| Endoscopy | The general term for any procedure is which a scope is used to visually inspect a canal or body cavity |
| Patch Test | Test performed by placing a lien or paper patch on uninvolved skin and then using a dropper to soak the patch |
| Intradermal | Test performed by introducing dilute solutions of allergens into skin of the inner forearm or upper back |
| Allergist | Medical specialist who diagnoses and treats inappropriate immune system respinses to normally harmless substances |
| Endocrinologist | Medical specialist who treats diseases and disorders of the thyroid gland and other glands |
| Lower GI | A diagnostic test is a barium enema given rectally prior to taking an xray |
| Malignant | A tumor in which cells grow uncontrollably, invading and actively destroying the tissue around them |

| Wood's Light | The practitioner inspects the patients skin under a UV lamp in a darkened room |
| Stress Test | The test that measures a patients cardiovascular response to a workload |
| Colonoscopy | Performed to provide direct visualization of the large intestine |

| Benign | A tumor that contains abnormal cells that do not invade and actively destroy surrounding tissue |
| Angiography | An x-ray exam of blood vessels after injection of a contrast medium to evaluate the function |
