Decimal Point | A period separating the ones and the tenths in a decimal number. |
Decimal | A number that has a digit in the tenths place, hundredths place, and/or beyond. |
Equivalent Decimals | Decimals that have the same value. |
Expanded Form | A way of writing a number as the sum of the values of its digits. |
Period | The name given to each group of three digits in a place-value chart. |
Place | The position of a digit in a number. |
Standard Form | The usual way of righting a number that shows only its digits, no words. |
Place Value | The value given to a digit by its place in a number. |
Place-Value Chart | A chart showing the value of each number in a multi-digit whole number. |
