Booking an appointment several weeks or even months in advance. Advance scheduling
The scheduling of similar appointments together at a certain time of the day or week. Cluster scheduling
A system of scheduling in which two or more patients are booked for the same appointment slot, with the assumption that both patients will be seen by the doctor within the scheduled period. Double booking system
The basic format of an appointment book, established by blocking off times in the schedule during which the doctor is able to see patients. Matrix
