| Associative Property | When adding or multiplying, it does not matter where you place the parentheses. |
| commutative Property | You can change the order in which you add or multiply and it does NOT change the sum or product. |
| Complex Fractions | Fractions that contain fractions within their numerator and/or denominator. |
| Dividing Two Fractions | Dividing 2 fractions is the same as taking the first fraction and multiplying it by the reciprocal of the second fraction. Also known as keep change flip. |
| Equivalent Rations | Two ratios that have the same value. |
| Per | For each ($30 per jacket) |
| Product | The answer to a multiplication question. |
| Quotient | The answer to a division question. |
| Repeating Decimal | A number or group of numbers is repeated indefinitely. |
| Terminating Decimal | A decimal number that contains a infinite number of digits after the decimal point. Also known as a number that ends. |
| Unit Rate | A rate with a denominator of ONE. |
| Exponents | A method for representing repeated multiplication. |
| Rate | A quantity measured and compared to another quantity measured (such as number of miles per hour) |
