AERIAL OR ATMOSPHERIC PERSPECTIVE method of creating the illusion of depth in a painting or drawing by modulating colour to simulate changes effected by the atmosphere on the colours of things seen at a distance
IMPLIED (LINE) line that is not actually drawn, but created by the viewer's eyes by connecting other elements of the artwork
SOLID (COLOR) uniform in color, plain, with no patterns
SELF-PORTRAIT a representation of oneself (as a drawing, painting or photograph) done by oneself
BLURRED hard to see, indistinct, not well-defined
HATCHING closely drawn parallel lines, as for shading in drawing
