corresponding angles a pair of angles in the same position relative to the parallel lines and the transversal
alternate interior angles a pair of angles on opposite sides of the transversal but inside the parallel lines
linear pair two angles that are adjacent and supplementary
same-side interior angle a pair of angles on the same side of a transversal and between the lines cut by the transversal
alternate exterior angles/same-side exterior angles a pair of angles on opposite sides of the transversal but outside the parallel lines
angle sum The sum of the interior angles in a geometric shape
corresponding sides sides that have the same relative position in geometric figures
complementary angles two angles whose measure have a sum of 90 degrees
exterior Angles the angle formed outside a polygon when one side is extended
adjacent angles two angles in the same plane with a common side, a common vertex, and no interior points in common
angle the figure formed by the union of two rays that share a common endpoint
