Genre | The kind of text you are reading |
Objective | Is a task, expectation to learn about the reading |
Criteria | Requirement taken to finish a goal |
Annotation | A note or comment |
Misconception | Incorrect or false understanding |
Predictive reading | Taking a guess on what your reading is about |
Close Reading | Analyzing the text carefully to get a deeper understanding. |
Familiarize | To make well known of the information |
Prior Knowledge | Information you already knew about the text |
Context | The information, the reading itself |
Syllabus | A document that is a guide for the class. Has all of what is expected of you. |
Degree Evaluation | Analyze over course work to see if you are eligible for graduation. |
Default | Failure to complete something within a timely manner. |
Developmental | Classes that helps a student gain more knowledge on the class that they are lacking |
Pre-requisite | Classes you take before you can take the classes that are career-related |
Accommodation | Special assistance, given help for special needs |
Disqualified | Being taken out of, not available anymore |
Commencement | Process of starting something |
Certificate | A different pathway to getting the credit hours needed. |
Transcript | A document that contains grades for classes and the GPA |
