Misconception Incorrect or false understanding
Predictive reading Taking a guess on what your reading is about
Close Reading Analyzing the text carefully to get a deeper understanding.
Familiarize To make well known of the information
Prior Knowledge Information you already knew about the text
Context The information, the reading itself
Syllabus A document that is a guide for the class. Has all of what is expected of you.
Degree Evaluation Analyze over course work to see if you are eligible for graduation.
Default Failure to complete something within a timely manner.
Developmental Classes that helps a student gain more knowledge on the class that they are lacking
Pre-requisite Classes you take before you can take the classes that are career-related
Accommodation Special assistance, given help for special needs
Disqualified Being taken out of, not available anymore
Commencement Process of starting something
Certificate A different pathway to getting the credit hours needed.
Transcript A document that contains grades for classes and the GPA
