What can you tell about Destiny when she imagines herself a famous author? Destiny has big dreams for herself and writing is one of the most important things in her life.
How does Destiny feel about the news of Mrs. Wade closing the store? Destiny feels terrible about the news .
Why do people carry signs that say " save our store" if the store belongs to Mrs. Wade? The people carry these signs because the store is an important part of their company.
What do you think Destiny means when she says " I almost forgot to feel sad, almost"? The block party was like a celebration, and it was easy for Destiny to forget it was a serious cause.
Why does Destiny want to do something special for Mrs. Wade? Destiny wants to do something special because Mrs. Wade is her dear friend.
Why does Destiny whisper the question "Are you closing the store forever?" She whispers because she doesn't want the answer to be "yes."
Why does Destiny want to read her words aloud? Mrs. Wade closes her eyes because she wants to hear Destiny's "powerful words" and in Destiny's own voice.
In the end Destiny's parents call the community and tell them to plan a __________? Her parents call the community to plan a block party and to raise money for the bookstore.
