vertex | the point where two or more edges or line segments meet |
edge | a line segment where two faces of a three dimensional solid meet |
face | a flat surface of a three-dimensional figure |
rhombus | a quadrilateral with four congruent sides and two sets of parallel sides |
trapezoid | a quadrilateral with one set of parallel sides |
attribute | a characteristic or component of a geometric figure |
congruent | having the same size and shape |
base | the parallel faces of a prism or the face a solid object stands on |
pyramid | a three-dimensional figure containing a base that is a polygon and the faces are triangles that share a common vertex |
parallel | a pair of lines that are equal distance apart and will never meet |
perimeter | is the distance around a two-dimensional figure |
polygon | a two-dimensional shape with 3 or more straight sides |
length | the distance from one end to the other end of an object |
regular polygon | a polygon having all equal sides |
