| Additive Inverse | The opposite of a number |
| Integer | A positive number, a negative number, or zero, but not a fraction or decimal |
| Irrational Numbers | A number that cannot be written as a fraction |
| Opposite Numbers | Two numbers that have the same numeral, but have opposite signs |
| Quantity | An amount that can be counted |
| Rational Numbers | A number that a can be written as a ratio |
| Zero Pair | A pair of numbers whose sum is zero |
| Decimal | a fraction whose denominator is a power of ten and whose numerator is expressed by figures placed to the right of a decimal point. |
| Product | the result of a multiplication problem |
| Quotient | the result of a division problem |
| Terminating Decimal | a decimal with a finite number of digits |
| Repeating decimal | a decimal fraction in which a figure or group of figures is repeated indefinitely |
