MOOW Training

Relieve the Watch 15 minutes prior to ensure proper watch turn over
Special Evolutions ATFP. Damage Control, Medical Training Team drills
The MOOW you are relieving the will state I have been properly relieved request permission to lay below (if unarmed) or request permission to strike below (if armed)
While saluting you will state the following Assume all duties and responsibilities as messenger of the watch
MOOW reports POOW and maybe sent to various spaces on the ship or to other ships for tasking
Reporting the status of 12 o’clock reports to CO or CDO if the CO is unavailable.
Report to CO “GoodMorning Sir/Ma’am the Officer of the Deck sends his/her respects and announces the approaching hour of 1200. All reports have been collected and reviewed. Request permission to strike 8 bells on time sir/ ma’am
12o’clock reports include Magazine Temp, Fuel & Water, Cyber, Muster, Binnacle, Boat, Draft, and Vehicle reports
Upon proper turnover you and the current MOOW will approach the OOD and turnover.
